  • scotch locks.

as some of you may know i have just put footwell lights in with a few extra mods. after i got everything working. i took the burg to my mates( x-parts manager of unicar and bmw, current parts manager of mitsubishi)
i asked him to check my work and he immediatley told me that scotch locks are banned from being used in the industry, due to not meeting the current standards and being a fire hazzard. i just wanted you all to know what i hav been told it may be true, it mite not be. if you have them,it mite be a good idea to check out if they are unsafe.

Yep it's true, no longer used as a safe option for joining wires

Best bet is to get dome head crimps, a lot more secure and a lot safer.
