      can one simply cut the cig ignition wire and join the parrott blue one to it with electrical tape?

          i will eventually just thinking for now. will cutting this cig ign wire hurt anything in car apart from the cig lighter comin on off if anything went wrong?

            what colour is the ignition wire i need to tap the parrott into i got the cig lighter out there is 2 sets 2 wires together (red and black ) and then a single wire (black only ) which do i cut???

                  i can do it got it all in bits now just need to know which wire is the ign one , is it the single black one or the other one paired with a red one

                      ah cheers im just gonna tape em together tonight then sort out some crimps later napa said screen wont power up till i got ignition wire done to cig lighter doh lol

                        OMG this sounds like a recipe for disaster!!!
                        Is there no one in Corsasilvers area that can help him.
                        He needs a testlight, Soldering Iron etc etc.
                        Please do not use scotchlocks, they are ****!!!

                        Where are you again?
                        I feel so sorry for you I might have to just drive there myself.

                          This is worrying me

                          Safest bet, get a meter switch it on at volts dc, attach ground terminal to chassis of car (or earth wire), attach live terminal to wires in question, turn on ignition to test, whichever one shows 12volts when ignition is on is correct one, job done safely.

                          By day car and bus wirer thingy man.

                          By night maniac VXR driver.

                            Test light is not the best Idea with a canbus system which I think the Corsa is (could be wrong, if I am I appologise) test light would show voltage but could be less than needed.
