If your talking about what i think you are its basically a series or water jets that spray water on the intercooler to keep it even cooler, seen a thread about this before but have no idea it they work and what effects it gives performance wish, would imagine not much though

From my Impreza Rally Car knowledge water spray is only effective with a VERY HIGH engine bay temp - usually found on Spec C/GrpN cars where they idle at 2500rpm and bhp is around 400, hence the high temps. To be effective they run for a second every 6 seconds and use around 25litres of water from a tank stored in the boot. It could make a differnce to a VXR on a warm day but that difference would probably be not noticable. Standard STi's are fitted with a push on demand system for more of gimick factor than anything else! Personally, i wouldn't waste my money.

Watch this vid till the end. They stop and open the bonnet and it clearly shows one fitted. Think its made by CRY02.

I agree... There's too much tasty kit for the engine to be standard (look at the size of the front brakes). He wasn't giving it an easy time was he? Is that the standard exhaust manifold just with the heat shield removed?

Exhaust tip is a tripping hazard!

you would be better off spraying a Jet into the intercooler to lower the temp
you would only need £300 to £400 to get a good setup an they do work
                          the truth is out there
                          part GSI part VXR

                            thats the Std manifold
                            uprated actuator
on the Exhaust i would just say its Hot an they Do get about 1inch longer
