  • disconnecting battery

i did this when i removed my dials and when it was reconnected the fuel guage played up for about 20 mins and the elec windows didnt work properly for a while. also think it felt sluggish (maybe the ecu looses the octane rating from previous fuel, or maybe just in my head?)

anyway, i need to remove some pieces of the interior incl the cdc30, centre screen etc... do i have to disconnect the battery when taking them out?? may sound a stupid question but on a previous car it resulted in a fuse breaking, wondered what other problems there are if not disconnected and with resetting of the ecu?

i always disconnect the battery when messing with the wiring you only need one disaster like i had and the you learn not to cut corners at all.
