  • Fuel economy today on 310 mile trip

Today took the car out for first drive to leicester from maidstone 150 miles each way....

Filled up with v-power at start and drove as you would when running in driveing steady but short burst here and there!!!!

So what mpg do you think i got on onboard computer and do you think i did the trip without refilling?

Back in later as out in garage drying car....hehehe

        yep....

Hopefully seeing paul tomorrow so will tell him about you!!!

Just got in from drying car.......

        so today....

setoff at 5.30am and got to leicester at 8.30 and achieved

33 MPG With just over half a tank left...

On return journey arrived back in Maidstone at 12.41 and achieved 35

        And still above red.........

My onboard stated i still had 80 miles left.....

The reason i wasnt quicker was due to m25 / m1 having specs cameras continuosly at 40 mph....

Im pretty gobsmacked as engine surely is tight and not economical yet but the proofs in the pudding!!!!!!!!

Caspy you,re salesman fibbed and told me i should get 30 easily on a run!!!

The amount of wax you are planning to use,it should be getting 600mls from a tank!!
Mind you if you are not careful the body will be too wide to get though width restrictors Oh and you will need a second job to pay for those swisho wax products you are keen on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont think the car is too bad for economy, I drive to work on a sunday night for the week and then home again on a friday. Its a 180 mile one way trip from my house in north wales to north yorkshire. Ive found if i stick to a steady 70-80 mph and not floor it through the gears it uses just short of half a tank, I reckon I could get around 330 miles out of a tank, driving it sensibly.

However you dont buy a car like this and spend all the time watching the fuel guage and penny pinching, live the dream!!

I managed about 340 when i went to alton towers a few months ago. Averaging about 33mpg.
Then on the way back from france i got 170 miles and 17.5 mpg. I was in a bit of a rush lol.

Err umm, why is your LCD display different to mine? Yours has lots of special looking features.
I have a difference of opinion to you.
