  • xenons.what is needed to replace standard lights?

    has anyone fitted xenons and how much did they cost?
    what parts are needed?
    went to my vaux garage and the did not know...lol but the gonna try and find out on monday and phone me. :?

    if you mean conversion to AFL I would expect x2 headlight units, x2 power packs for the lights, probably an ECU that links in (to take signals on steering and will then operate the lights ).
    I'll take a guess theres a reasonable amount of wiring involved - if this is plug in sections or the actual body harness is different is anyones guess.

    I'd be suprised if its worth retro fitting (if possible).

    Be interesting to find out though

      its linked to the steering as well so it would be a real **** on to do

        oh dear guess i prob wont be getting it done then cos it looks like it will cost a small fortune. i just thought someone would of had it done on here.

            You need a completely different loom for the Xenon set-up as it uses a very high voltage.
            Easier and cheaper to swap to a car with them on :wink:

              You need a completely different loom for the Xenon set-up as it uses a very high voltage.
              Easier and cheaper to swap to a car with them on :wink:
              got a quote today from mr vauxhall and they said its going to cost in excess of £1500 :?
              so looks like i wont be getting them fitted
