would it have been cheaper and more beneficial to have got a complete custom made exhaust system done using same dimensions as milltek but maybe have added a 100 cell cat etc. or is going with milltek and their research and experience the better option really ?

Meh, the Milltek has been developed by professionals for the vxr (not saying that others haven't!!), and I'd expect a lot of time, thought and consideration was taken, I'd be happy paying for it

With normally aspirated cars then yes but turbo charged cars are different.

i was thinking of taking the centre box out of mine to see what the difference makes. wouldnt mind it a bit louder but not to loud where everyone thinks im a **** lol.

might go and have look now to see how i could do it

do you mean remove the long centre box in the milltek system so replace it with a pipe the same diameter. would this make it a lot louder

it would make it louder and maybe free some power up (maybe) but to what extent im not sure
