  • Octane Booster

Hi guys just wondered has anyone tried the NOS octane booster from Halfords they do a race formula and a street.
The race one puts it up about 6 points i think and the street about 3.
Just wondered if it would make any difference on power and weather or not it would damage the engine?
Already using Shell VPower 99ron so should put it up to 105ron. :?

Not sure it quite works like that fella .... I've used the Millers Octane booster but only when stuck with a 97 RON Super Unleaded from Sainsburys or something which then gives it a small boost to around 99 RON. Dont think it makes much difference with the 99 RON stuff from Shell or Tescos though. You shouldnt need to get a higher octane level than 99 anyway

Tesco 99 RON is actually from ESSO and the GB Rally Team use it in their race cars.
