  • Is my boost sound Good or Bad ?

    Hi.

I have mapped vxr 300 bhp . Eds intake...

So i have ocd. Car is running nice. Few days ago find the turbo on the middle was only with 2 /4 bolts:O
it was very hard to get it back with 3 bolts. (Turbo+waste side)

Now its way more quitely and smoother.

Now when first time i think everything is ok, im just wondering Is IT NORMAL when u hard boost pedal down and it fly i get that TSSHHHH or undertow sound. Windows down u hear sweet FFFFFFFFFF so long when you keep boost up to max 1.2bar (should be 1.4 on map)

So what is this blow jet plane sound? I like it but same time i think i never mention it before. Sound comes like when you drive low rpmn casual and pedal whip boost cauge to max just o second..

Bad english but good Opel heart ❤️

    Got yesterday misfire when idle.
    codes p313 3001 3004 agen.

I finally found leak i think. Inlet manifold.. i got breakcleaner good spot to the 4th intake and THE motor sound jump! So i ordered Thermal Gasket and hope its only gasket.
could eds intake manifold get some holes? Dont think so

I can hear idling the leak from IM

I would check the injector o ring for damage, it's more likely to split and perish than the manifold gasket. The manifold gasket is easy to change, takes about 45 minutes, depending on the thermal insulator you bought you may need to fit longer studs.

Hi thanks for reply! I ordered
          this

          https://www.ebay.com/itm/Z20LET-Z20L...4876%7Ciid%3A1

And because this Eds intake have been on car before, so im sure previous owner got the EDS KIT, and there should be right studs.
Maybe then its easy to check the O ring thing. Must buy that also before carage...

I just took fuel rail and injectors out. Injector seals where dirty but still ok.

The 8 bolts on IMF was little loose. I tighten tem well

Now everything back and still rough idle and the hissle in the same position. Right corner (4th)But cannot see any...

Can small leak on gasket make this gas smell and unbalanced idle. Im loosing mind🙈 but yea still waiting from uk the gasket coming. Have no other idea more. This took me 3h.

Or is it any good to changes to Copy eds than this?
maybe older owner sold Eds mani before...

So i think its way harder to get oem inlet manifold out?
i want to clean it inside and change gasket. Do anyone have some tips? There is 1 bolt also on the bottom?
Also do you need to get alternator away. Or just loose the bolts that is on inlet manifold? And ecu stand away also?

Disconnect battery, unbolt bracket on bottom, unbolt ECU mounting, remove throttle body, disconnect brake servo hose, unbolt fuel rail, disconnect cam sensor. Lift fuel rail, wiring harness etc out of the way, remove manifold nuts and it lifts out. I could swap between the stock and eds manifolds in about 45 minutes.
