disconecting effects

When you disconnect the battery for a bit, will the car have to re-learn the values etc so if it were to be mapped and then you do this, will you have rto go through the process of building the map back up if that makes sense???

Its a self learning ecu, it constantly adapts fuel, ignition mixtures all the time. For instance it will retard the ignition on a hotter day or with poor fuel in it.

Disconnecting the battery just erases the short term memery of the ecu iirc, so it will just go to the factory run settings (or remap) and adjust them from there.

Short term bank is erased this will only mean the adaption will re learn driver input functions.
