Remus question

    Remus question

    Picking up a 58 VXR on Friday. Decided to venture into the land of the turbo after having a Civic type-r(ep3)+mods for a few years.
    The VXR currently has a factory fitted Remus exhaust. Do Vauxhall re-map the ECU when they fit these or would it need doing?

    no it is still running standard map but if you want to remap you go straight to stage 2 as you have the remus then if you add intercooler it will be stage 3 and so on

        It may already have a remap as the remus is not a factory fitted option, it has always been a aftermarket extra. Even if you purchased the car with the remus exhaust from new, the car was delivered with the std exhaust and the dealer replaced the exhaust.

        The only car that came std with the remus was the berg version, but even this was fitted by vauxhall performance centre and was not remapped.

        Are you sure that the dealer fitted the exhaust, if not then you may be able to contact the main turners, TMS / Courtenay Sport / Regal to see if it has been remapped, or try to contact the previous owner.

              remus from new is a dealer-fit option. i had it. car came with standard exhaust, dealer ordered the remus through vxr performance centre and fitted as part of the PDI. no remap though
