To be honest, normally a set of photos won't do a conversion justice - your best bet is to see some in the flesh!

Tom - is it the photos or does your central heater control look a different colour to the rest of them?

Green looks better than I thought it would...

I've seen a few photos of white/clear and it looks very classy...

Daz did our burg and I did the first Astra I had and both had the same flaw, none of the smds lit up at the same brightness?

Worst of all is the headlight switch, the furthest right is super bright where as towards the left they are alot duller.

Now I haven't done my van yet and the standard smds light is all up very evenly.

Don't know if it's worth researching all the different lumens etc to get an exact match or am I just too fussy?

I did mine myself and I've not noticed any inconsistencies across the same panel.

Some panels end up looking slightly different to the panel they are next to but nothing that is really noticeable.

Well, after making sure I can do this with no damage to any components in the car, here was the first result...

Especially chuffed with the green high beam indicator and the needles - I think I was the first to try it and get a succesful result!!

Although in some of these photos the blues don't quite look the same, they are - the brightness differs (very slightly) on some of the panels, but not noticably so. The photos are off my phone, as it's better than my ancient camera (so how bad must that be!)

This is more than likely the same reason that Tom's heater dials look slightly different from each other - the camera really highlights the slightest difference.

                          Coincidence about the needles!!

The needles are actually different now as well, they are lit blue on the complete face of them. It's a proper fiddly job to do them well, you've got to strip the needles apart and everything!

And I've lit my VXR logo now too!!!
