1/4 Mile times

Hi there guys,

Just interested to see what i can expect an astra vxr to do 1/4 mile time and et speed at different stages of tune from standard to stage 3+?

all depends on the driver. how much hammer they give the car when larnching, like slipping the clutch...

there is a post with all the info but i cant remember where it is... could try a search.,..

think a standard astra is about 15-16 seconds.

stage 1 & 2 = et 14.5 - 13.9 @+- 168km/h
3 & 4 = 13.5 - 12.8 @ +- 187 km/h ( upgraded turbo)
5 = 12.3 @ 202km/h

Cheers for the replies, just trying to compare it to how my Mini used to perform before i stripped it back to standard.

So i have to be at stage 3 300bhp ish to get into the 13's?

i got a stage 2 vxr mate, ran a 13.52 at santa pod, can run 13.6 all day long!!!

I have a standard burg and i was at crail a few weeks back and ran a 14.8. Probably could have done it a bit quicker. Its all down to your start

Cool so you dont have to do alot to get the astra really fast then!!

I did everything to my Mini and i got 13.8 @ 104mph but then it does suffer from heat soke being a top mount intercooler.

Are there differences between stage 2's from various tuners?

Im thinking of going with regal as they are closest to me!

I did a 14.7 in my stock OPC (VXR) end of 2007 in SA. Ran on 93-octane with an octane booster... (there was a shortage of 95-octane at the time)

how many clutches have you went though?
