Yes mate. The button cancels it while you twist to adjust the speed or turn it on

Cruise control wicked on this model of car - apply the brakes before engaging and applying the brakes will kill the cruise control.

Read the manual although suprised the salesman didn't point out the feature of the car

This is like all cars with cruise. You don't have to apply the brakes before you activate it, if you brake when cruise is on it will stop cruise instantly.

yup when tashyboy got his arctic in dec 08 he was suprised to find in the arctic brochure that the cruise control was standard as per the rest of the Corsa VXR's. Strange thing is that missis tash got her Corsa VXR in July 07 and in all that time we never knew it was on the car.

Never had a problem activating cruise control without first applying the brake. I just turn the dial to start the control ,then , when the sign comes up to confirm it has activated, twist the dial up or down to adjust required speed.
Braking or accelerating over-rides the control, pressing the button on the end of the stalk switches off the control.

I think some are getting confused.

Cruise control will not activate unless you have applied the brakes at some point since start up, its not a case of braking then switching on cruise.
