Corsa engine into Meriva. will it work?

what i need to know is will an engine from a Corsa VXR with the code Z16LER fit a Meriva with the code Z16LET? any help will be appreciated

mate they the corsa vxr has the same engine as the merv just de-tunded

if you just need a block then this will fit straight in and you would bolt ur inlet/exhaust manifold and all ancillarys like alternator/starter/gearbox that are already on the meriva. i think the difference between these engines are ECU setup and obviously exhaust setup but not sure if that restricts it think its just ECU. im sure they dont have overboost facility like corsas due to it being controlled by the corsas ECU. if your just thinking of changing due to wanting the same power as the corsa then a remap would probably make it more powerful than a stock corsa vxr anyway. hope this helps
