you need a new fuel filler cap the seals on them are crap.

Yep I get this, especially for a day or so after filling up, but it randomly comes and goes too. VX said the cap was fine....but then again they are totally useless!

Is it deff the filler cap that needs replacing JSFB? As in just the bit you unscrew when you fill up?

Could be just undoing under pressure as the Astra's do this. Just turn it 5/6 turns and it should be fine.

But does turning it more and more actually do anything? Mine just clicks and clicks and clicks but if I try and turn it back the other way again it starts undoing immediately no matter how many times I turn it. Hmmmmmmm

As above...... Had modified seal put on my Astra......problem solved!

Also don't push down on the cap when screwing it back on as it stops the sealing mechanism working properly! Strange but true.

                            +1.

If you push the cap whilst screwing, it won't seal properly.

Just place, turn, let it click and you're done.
