My car went in last week to have the gearbox replaced, was told when I booked it in that's it is in stock two day turn around now been told it's on back order unknown when it will be back in stock could be a month WTF. No have no car and have to borrow my grans car to get to work. Since I paid £2300 for the work to be done their since they had the gearbox in stock I am no getting really annoyed by it as it wasn't the cheapest place. The only reason I went there was it was in stock

What did you think of that Astra 1.4 Turbo?

Buy a 1.2 Corsa D and we can get you any part under warranty within 24hrs!

Unfortunately as the Corsa VXR is a very specialist model not all of the parts are kept as regular stock in the UK warehouses. Most of the parts have to get shipped from Germany and will take 1-2 weeks. Price you pay for having top of the range i guess!

Yeh it was a nice car, very well screwed together and the quality of the materials are so much better than any other vauxhall I have been in! Infact it puts some VAG interiors to shame IMO. The engine is great too, its got some great low down poke and also returns great MPG. I was getting 40mpg+ pretty easily on a combined cycle. I would definatly consider one in the future.

Thanks for that mate, I was going to go back to the insignia next, but they can't build them fast enough for customers....so we can't have them!....was thinking about the 1.4 Astra Turbo instead

Love the little Corsa to bits it's great fun, but a little too small....don't think the mrs likes the attention it gets either

Surely some parts are used across the ranges such as air con pump etc?

Yep 2months for a wheel bearing . No phone calls to keep me updated or anything. VX customer service is a disgrace . I love my car to bits but will never buy a vauxhall again because of this
