how much back pressure ?

My system has a bastuk decat pipe then a straight through to the rear silence box thats all,now im getting a different system made up thursday to try and gain more power and torque as i feel having no bk pressure is the reason my car lags and takes longer to boost progressivly,so any one know how much back pressure will be needed please.

-ko3 hybrid turbo
-i/c+ pipes
-fueling kit + reg
-480cc inject
-high comp pistons+ rods
-dv+ rcv
-flowmaster missing the cold air pipe work could be another factor

Turbos don't need backpressure - on the Astra it's the reason why the oil restrictor is used as the lack of back pressure exposes the oil seals to greater pressure, nothing to do with power or lack of it though.

Good shout! N back pressure sorted out i wer running a 2" pipe from decat made a good tone and noise but **** for the power fig so stand by for pics in a few weeks

you'll feel the boost pick up better in changes with out the dv, i noticed straight away.

Running one silencer as you are at the moment is probably spot on.

Ok i will be selling my centre section from decat back to the rear section ,it will be consisting of 2" stainless steel grade 303 pipe and a silence rear section with the standard corsa vxr triangle tip for the oe look but a aggressive nice sound,im looking for 120 for the lot.cheers

with straight through exhaust... and 3" size... the turbo needs more time to load... but when it kicks in your going to have more hp on high rpm

with silenced exhaust... 2.5"size.. the turbo needs less time to load.. you have more hp in the medium range of rpm.. and more nm ... but less hp on high rpm

another problem is the intercooler... if your intercooler is to big you have more turbo lag
