  • my home crafted strut brace :)

with my best mate being a metal fabricator i put the question to him of making a rear bar and he said not a problem so off we plodded to the work shop to begin

took overall about an hour or so. measured the gap, measured the bolt spacing and that was it took to work.

found a bar that was both light and thick walled and two 10mm thick solid plates to put either side measured it up, straightened it and before you know it all the cutting and welding was done.

while he did that i was measuring the holes to drill into for the side panel in the boot cause i havent bothered cutting a big chunk out just threaded them threw before attaching the final fixing plate (so basically i aint getting the panels out cause there stuck on the bar) but i dont mind cause there hardly anything to buy. only thing i need doing now is to paint the thing, but heres a couple of pictures of the progress and finished product.....just need to paint it arden blue, anyone know where to get it? and also get some rubber bungs maybe to finish it off. here you go anyways....slate/rate:

big *** machine pressing the holes

    holes pressed

    bit of welding

    finished product

    cheers guys
