  • Mobil 1 Oil

    hey guys,

its time to give my girl an Oil and Filter change.

i want to use Mobil 1 as it says its recommend on the VXR website, it recommends 0w-40 Mobil 1 Fully Synthetic..

"Mobil 1 0w40 with SuperSyn is the ultimate high performance synthetic oil, offering you outstanding added value, which is why it is recommended for use in the VXR range" Quote from the VXR website.

I am not very mechanically minded at all lol

Is that the right one for use in a Corsa VXR???

Anyone got any idea where i can Buy 5 litres of it for cheaper than vauxhall lol theres not a costco near me but internet order is fine I can have it delivered.

If anyone can post me a link to the right one for a good price I'd be really greatful

thanks as always for your time and help guys

    Glen

vauxhall used to use 5-30 fully synthetic, but now they recommend the 0-40w mobil 1 for the vxr range hth

Mobil 1 0w-40 is all we have used in both VXR's and both are tuned

if you have a costco card then you looking at a great price compared to anywhere else

Hi Glen, I recommend this Motul oil from Opie Oils. GM spec & 5 litres delivered to door. Register on Opie site & cheaper still. I use Motul oils in my VXR & Audi.
                  Hoggy.

What is the difference when using either 0-4- or 5-30 ?
Are there any noticable problems etc. ?

just the thinner grade i guess, if vaux/thorney say no issues with using this and they recommend it then i dont see any issues with it.

The 0w has better cold weather protection and the 40 means it wont be quite as thin as the 30 at warm temp.

As Aussie said Costco card = Mobil1 £23 for 4 litres

                        Astra

is it defo £23 quid a shot? that means i'l need to use 2 then again cheaper than others, how much oil does the astra need as the vectra needs about 7 litres

Hi, FYI according to VX Corsa service book, a spec of ACEA A5/B5 should not be used & the Mobil 1 ESP 5-30 is that spec.
Mobil Synt S 5-40 & Mobil 0-40 is the correct spec.
