  • The best tyres

Hi folks bit of a debate on the go just now with a few mates regarding tyre choice. I want to change away from the continentals on the Corsa VXR as I find the grip goes when its wet. I have run a few different sets (not on the VXR) on previous cars and I found the best to be Pirelli P Zero Nero’s.

Other folk are saying Michelin Pilot Sports and Toyo Proxes are the best.

What are other peoples views ??

I won't be moving away from Conti's, love them. It's all down to opinion though, once you find a brand you like with anything you tend to stick to it.

I have the Sport Contact 3's on and the performance in dry or wet is outstanding.

Running Michelin Pilot Sports on the front "18" - seem to be wearing longer than the original Contis - pricey though.

Best tyres I have ever had, are Goodyear eagle F1, I have had them on all of my cars the grip is just outstanding in wet or dry, I just find it hard to trust any other make of tyre, as soon as these cont's are worn I'll be looking at getting some F1's

correct me if i'm wrong but thought the GSD3's are discontinued? in saying that, from personal experience, they are outstanding! had them on my peugeot track car and was blown away with their performance.

Will be replacing my conti 2's with the new Goodyear assymetrics (just wondering how much more than 18000 miles im going to get!)

T1-R's are very good but the wear rate isn't the best.

The outer edges of tread seem to be made of cheese.

                        Top for grip though!

I find that the pirelli p zero's don't handle that well and I get hundreds of wheel spinning from them... I prefer the conti 3's. The eagle f1's are cracking aswell
