  • Osram nightbreakers..

Anybody else have these? I have them fitted on my corsa, but they didn't even last a year before blowing.

passengers side blew couple of weeks ago, and now drivers side has blown yesterday.

surely should get more than a years life? hardly do any miles in darkness

i fitted some 100w jobbies and they didnt last long.

trouble is higher the wattage the hotter the filament in the lamp burns = shorter life span.

higer wattage bulbs are still built to last in the heat they make, but are really sensitive to any oil/grease on them, as this is what gets the heat too high. Never use your bare pinkies to fit bulbs

as you might know its very difficult to fit bulbs into the corsa, so i suppose my bare fingers could have touched the wrong places, i dont know.

i'm going to try another bulb next time and see if they last any longer. are there any other electrical factors going on in the car that might blow bulbs?
