  • Lumpy Idle

HI, any one had problems with their car not idleing properly.
had mine for about a year now and covered 18000 miles, its had the 888 remap. and its started vibrateing the car on idle then the revs die and the engine nearly stalls before sorting its self out and starts vibrating again. Once you rev the engine past idle its fine with no lack of power.
    any help appreciated.
    cheers jason

Is the 888 map an EDS map?

not sure mate it was an ex demo and the dealer took it to Banbury and had it remapped before i got it. just presumed 888 had their own map.

not sure but would have thought a dodgy map would have shown up earlier within the 12 months.
Sounds a bit like an air leak maybe.

my post makes it sound like im blaming the map, just saying whats on the car incase it would make a difference, not sure if a faulty air flow sensor would be to blame of something along them lines.
just wondered if any one else had simular problems.
          cheers

you're on the right track i think. Didnt somebody on here have terrible problems with the car not feeling "right". they took it to thorney who replaced the air mass meter and all was well again, despite not showing any error codes and the dealers not wanting anything to do with it ?

hi, just finished work today, started corsa up and choked every one else out with white smoke.that cleared then on drive home had an amber oil warning light come on telling me to check oil level in manual, so checked and oil level spot on, started car again and all is fine.
rang dealers and booked in for monday.
