  • Corsa vxr torque settings for rear stub axle

    Hi all just new to the site and looking for some tech info regarding the torque settings on the vxr.
    i need to know the settings for the rear hub unit to the rear axel which is the four torx bolts and also the setting for the main rear wheel bearing hub nut to the stub axel as iv’e heard this one is around 280nm but id rather know for sure before i end up destroying the new bearing unit or the stub axel threads.
    any help would be appreciated as vauxhall dealers seem to to tight lipped with this sort of info

    if you are stuck just go buy a Haynes, it'll be the same settings as the 1.7 diesels/any non vxr model that has rear discs
    Corsa C 1.4 (SOLD), Corsa D SRI Turbo (SOLD), Facelift Corsa D 1.4 SE (SOLD), Now Corsa E VXR...plus about 20 other non VXs

      Yeah i looked that up already mate the haynes manuals only cover the small engined diesel upto 1.3 so no good as they have rear drum brakes.
      im in the dealers tomorrow collecting parts for my restoration rebuild so try asking their tech lads see if any will give out the info.
      im pretty sure the hub nut is 280nm but id rather check beforehand to avoid issues whilst doing the job as its £96 for a new stub axel and around the same price for a new skf bearing so could turn out an expensive day at some point

            This was the thread i was thnking of but alas not the figures you need;

            https://www.vxronline.co.uk/forum/ch...orque-settings

            I also found this;

            https://workshop-manuals.com/vauxhal...el_suspension/

            and similar for the Astra;

            https://www.vauxhallownersnetwork.co...ttings.659129/

            So it would seem you are correct that the main nut is around 280 and the stub axle bolts are around 50Nm.
