  • Limp Mode (Surging)

    Good day Ladies & Gents,

My name is Christo. I am new to the Forum.

I need advice on the following matter:

    - I bought my 2011 Corsa Opc/Vxr in Feb 2020 ever since I got it I had a significant/noticeable loss in the power band; throughout the boost range. So what happens is the car basically jerks/surges & then it goes in limp mode?

    - So happens when taking the car steadily/evenly into boost just below 3000rpm.

    - I first thought maybe try injector cleaner but this does not help it still does it anyway.

Any ideas or advice on what to do or try to fix this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards,
    Christo Els.

Spark plugs 1st then coilpack if the plugs don't cure it

Have you had it checked for any fault codes?

Coilpack & Sparkplugs was changed with the Boost Solenoid. According to GM it is the MAF Sensor & Airflow(Ambient) Sensor.

So I am going to change those out. Will keep you guys posted.

might sound daft but make sure MAF sensor is on the right way around. There is an arrow on the sensor which should be pointing away from the air filter and towards the intake hose.
