  • handbrake prob

    Does anybody have any info on the handbrake adjustment on the corsa vxr? its not holding either wheel so need to know how to adjust or should i just book it in ?

      sounds like the calipers hav siezed, get it to vaux as the pistons inside wil be siezed solid

        You can adjust the handbreak by pulling the handbreak gaitor up and underneath theres a 10mm nut on the cable, Which you can either tighten or loosen.

        Hope that makes sense

          thanks for your reply, had someone pumping the brake while spinning back wheel and they locked instant, pull up handbrake one side works the other won't, pull up handbrake clicks loud ......read a few things about this stuff lucky my drive aint slanted..... seems like a trip to vauxhall, only a year old poor baby

              the nut under the handbrake, will this make it have less play when you pull the handbrake up? i stupidly tried handbrake turning and since it hasnt been as tight as it was lol

                    Sorry but the first thing i would have done with a year old car still under warrenty is get it booked into the dealers, not asked how to do it myself, because if you had 'done it wrong' your warrenty would have been void,

                    Thats what warrenty is for, just my opinion.
