Quick heater question

Should there be any play in the control dial?

Noticed this week mine doesn't feel right.

climate or non climate mate ?

Non Climate - seems when you turn the dial it clicks round but you can move it left or right once the setting has been made.

do you mean the fan speed or the one that controls where it blows out? either way on mine you feel it sort of lock in so to speak!

Mine is quite loose too actually.. Never really bothered me but I know where your coming from.

You can move the knob left and right without actually changing the temp.. Its just a bit of a loose fitment I think. Mine is exactly the same

The reason for asking was looking at booking the car in to get it looked at.

Think i'll go and have a look at a standard corsa at a garage and compare.

I wouldn't bother myself as it will probably come back with half the dashboard hanging off and all of the bulbs behind the unit will probably not work. They are useless at repairing things like that so I expect I'll just leave it lol.

oh! mine twists nicely but aint loose, my old corsa wouldnt fully twist round to the hot! it just needed adjusting! next time your car goes in for a service just ask them to adjust it!

Well looks like i'm going to have to book it in again any way - fuel gauge acting up over the last 2 weeks got a constant problem with the fuel gauge not showing full when it should be - the needle is only going to the 8th setting.

the flaps can wear a bit on the heater box, broken clip or stretched cable, there shouldnt be any play in it

You actually filled it to the top though jk
