HOW TO replace standard panel filter...

  • HOW TO replace standard panel filter...

    ...with an aftermarket itg panel filter!

    Tools needed:
    T20 torx bit screwdriver
    8mm socket (if removing hose from filter housing)

    First locate air filter housing:



    Then undo the 4 star drive bolt (2 at the side, as shown, 1 on the bottom and 1 on the top side of the filter housing)




    Then locate the left jubilee clip on the intake coming off the airbox:



    Then undo with a 7mm spanner to give yourself some clearance:



    Take airbox cover off from the right hand side and move away to reveal the standard panel filter:



    Then replace it with the new pre-oiled itg item:



    Not exactly hard to do, but job well done me thinks!

    step on picture nr 5 is not necesary...

      Eh yes please!!!

      That jubilee clip is done to give more movement when removing the cover.

              You can hear the dump valve alot more, well tb I could never hear mine until I fitted the filter!!!

                    more throaty...pops more and your filter noise you can hear now seems to be a bit more noticable and sounds like its sucking more air in.........if that makes sense?

                      Yeah, I've heard a few ppl say this when it has been remapped.

                        umm.. not sure if its just me cos no-one else has said.. or its just the current 'batch' of itg filters but compared to mine yours has been fitted wrong... mine needed to be turned 90degrees?? might want to check yours matey the filters arnt actually square, slightly rectangle. just something i noticed but thanks for the guide!
