Just booked car in for notorious M32 gearbox whine, started making noise recently thought not too much of it , louder when I drove it today so I've booked it in not taking any chances hopefully caught the issue early

Exactly pal , and a gearbox specialist in Preston called "stevensons transmissions" recommended by a friend who's had the same thing done there.

Haha your car has remote engine start meanin g you can start the car up without the key whilst inside the house and your car remains locked its to pre heat your car on winter days or to look flash whilst you're walking up to it. Can't believe non of the sales people knew this. I paid about £700 for the alarm. Ask a Clifford dealer how to use it I'm sure you have to set it before you exit the car with the black jacks buttons. Ask on a Clifford forum its quite a nifty feature.

In fact I paid £500 lol. It's an avantguard 5.5 with remote start look it up how to use it.

I did look into it but could figure it out tbh , I only know how to unlock it ahah, n it's sure an expensive bit of kit but if it helps stop it being stolen it's 100% worth it. I'll look it up now mate if all else fails I'll just contact them

It should have proximity sensor that chirp if someone walks too close to it. It also has the black jacks buttons to type a code in every time you set off. If you enable that and someone steals your car if they do not enter the code properly the engine will cut out and cannot be restarted without the code. All the best

Well dropped car off this morning for gearbox to be took out and reconditioned as it started whining recently, typical vxr

Got car back yesterday ... Wow what a difference it's made feels like a new car , it's so quiet in car now without the whining and grinding love it again .
