  • New Tyre Needed !

    Hi all,

Can anyone please advise as to the best (and cheapest) place to get a new Pirrelli tyre for my Insignia VXR inthe Hertfordshire/North London area?

Have just had a nail go through the rear near-side and it can't be repaired.

Kwik-Fit only seem to do the Dunlop. Am I right in saying that it would be unsafe to replace just one tyre with a Dunlop as they mess with the handling?

At over £300 a tyre this could be an expensive business !!

    Many thanks.

    New Tyre Needed

And can anyone please tell me the exact details of the 'P Zero' tyre that is needed. Even Vauxhall don't even seem to have them !!

I really wouldn't recommend two different tyres on one axle. You'll have two different windows in which the tyres work in terms of compound, temperature, water displacement, wear rate and ultimately, grip.

It's not illegal but it's certainly not advisable.

      Have you got 20's?

      If so - you're after a 255/35/20 97Y P-Zero.

£231 - please take it to someone you trust to be careful with your wheels though.
