About 30 minutes drive from Lake Annecy is the small town of La Clusaz, and the ski centre of the region. Because the town is on the ski slopes and close to the lake, it boasts being an all season resort. So, a little pied-ل-terre here will cost you about 500,000 Euro. Porsches and Lambos abound (but only in summer) so the VXR was in exalted company




Chamonix tomorrow, then on to Menaggio on lake Como on Saturday.

Chamonix, this time. A must for a visit if you're in the Hautes Alpes region. Take the cable car up to L'aigiuille du midi and then across the ice field to Helbronner in Italy. It will set you back a bit of wonga but it's worth it. Go early in the morning spend the day above the clouds. Trip of a lifetime.

Anyways, this was taken from the car park near the main train station in Chamonix, with the Argentiére Glacier in the background. Mont Blanc is just hidden by the clouds.

Nice pics , nice roads around the area especially heading out from Annecy towards Bourg Saint Maurice. My mate has a house just above Annecy that we stop over in and oddly enough we go skiing in La Clusaz...I've a pic of the above but covered in snow which I'll try and dig out. If you had brake issues at NRing then you should have popped into the OPC centre there to ask them to take a look!

no internet so everything from my 'phone on 3g roaming. Brakes went the same way as others: sticking on when hot and then fading. Warning signs are severe vibration and steering pulling to one side. Not good when you are trying to slow down from 125 for a bend with an Audi R80 on your ***. I have loads more pics and videos from the 'Ring. I'll be home Thurs. so should get something out then. BTW maxed out at 165 on autobahn.
