  • When is this bloody car out?

I really really want to have a go in the 4x4 V6, 250bhp, will be ideal. It was meant to be out in September, was it not? Now i hear 2009?

If true, screw you Vauxhall, i'll go get a 3-Series.

Having just read the review from The Times, it seems horrible (at least the diesel does)

I'm hearing launch stock arriving at dealers 'late December' (possibly of a 2.8 4x4 for big dealers), 10th-11th January is launch weekend.

Although I'm hoping at least one or two dealers have ordered a 2.8 4x4 already so you could have a go in one when it turns up.

I've a build date of first week in Jan and delivery date of 30th Jan for a 160 Diesel Elite. Could change I know but given the current climate I can't see there being a big order book.

Don't take journalists word on the car, I have read most of the Insignia Press reviews and for every article that says any one particular feature of the car is terrible you will find another saying its the best they have driven!

Having seen it in the flesh at the Motorshow, experienced the build quality and ergonomics and know that it's beaten the Astra VXR 'Ring time if I was in that position it would just be a decision on which engine is right for me when the dealer demos come in

I don't remember Vauxhall ever saying it would be for sale in September?
What you have to ask yourself is how you will feel when you see the colour and spec of Insignia on the road when your stuck with your Chris Bangle special all for the sake of a couple of months wait...

                        what a wonderfully rude individual.

It was never meant to be out in September. First cars arrive in Dec , the on sale date at dealers is Jan 10th.

Note the 260PS 4x4 is nothing like the VXR. I'm driving an elite V6 4x4 and its wonderfully refined , quick and superb thru the corners.

The VXR will have a very different chassis , tho the 4x4 system will be the same. So don't even bother comparing the v6 4x4 Elite to the VXR.

                        Stu

Ps if you want a 3 series saloon they are stacked up at bruntingthorpe 50 deep so you'll get a good deal on one.

                          thats a tad harsh

I've not yet seen one of Phonenix's post where he has ever been rude to a specific individual. He was idlely venting at the vauxhall brand, not making any kind of specific insult to the people working at vauxhall.
