  • Problems with dealer and Vauxhall.....

    OK here is my problem.

I had a seat belt tensioner replaced under warranty in April this year. My warranty has since ran out and now the same part has failed again. The dealer/Vauxhall are refusing to take liability saying that a part replaced under warranty has no warranty!!!! So now there wanting me to pay the full £210. Surely this can't be right?? Or is it?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah my warranty has ran out. What i can't grasp is what they are saying is they could fit a part under warranty and then if it fails the next day and your warranty is expired you have to pay for it. Surely that can't be right.

Just explain the history of the fault, when it was first done, by whom then when it failed again and what the delearship said to you - all nice & calmly

With it been a safety feature - it has to be taken seriously

In theory a replacement under warranty still runs to the end of the warranty that existed on the replaced bit. I'd probably contact Stu Harris if it doesn't go well.
