  • Tyres?

I need some tyres for 'non road use' lol. Had my fist day with the car on an airfield and it was great! apart from seeing the tyres afterwards

Does anyone have, or know where I can get some from as most gargages I have called for part worns dont see many of them in this size?

Failing this, whats the cheapest new tyre anyone has come across, any make?

Try Blackcircles for cheapies. Ebay have some used ones.

Please, don't just fit cheapies. You'll ruin the handling, and may have trouble taming the power.

Get a second set of wheels for when you play on track, and have some Toyo 888R's fitted to them.

BTW, looks like you had some fun. I can't wait to get ours on track.

Agreed - excellent prices and excellent service. I buy all my tyres from there.

Try Falken 452's, I use them on my drift Silvia. Good semi budget track/drift tyre but not so good in the wet. They scrub in very quickly. The tyres on the standard VXR8 rims are reverse fit by the way, make sure your tyre fitter can do this and uses a rim guard.

They have to be levered on from the inside, ie the opposite way to most wheels. This is the case with many rims over 19".

There is a warning sticker on the inside edge of your 19" VXR8 standard alloys.

I don't think they'll get them on. And they'll harm rim and tyre if they try.

I think it would be near on impossible as the wider inner lip on the rim will be to the outside.

Near impossible wouldn't be enough to stop an idiot, sadly.
