  • Anyone considered de-spoilering their car?

Not convinced the VXR8 needs the big lairy spoiler, and this photo has reinforced that opinion. Some guy from Thunder Road has a more dicrete HSV Senator and I think it looks great - anyone on here?

It's an HSV Senator spoiler - so any HSV dealer should stock them. Alternatively you could go for a Pontiac G8 spoiler:

I thought about the Walkinshaw one, but I think £500 is a bit excessive!

I am becoming more and more convinced more BMW rims will fit these cars than first thought, those rims look like Breyton GTS's, normally fitted on 5 and 3 series............

                  Sorry to go OT

The Breyton rims are a +35 offset, and so even with rolled arches they do rub on the back unfortunately.

I think the standard spoiler suits the nature of the car....There's no way you're gonna convince people its a suave, sophisticated piece of machinary / the last word in subtlety.

It is what it is, imo a big lairy monster, so deserves a big lairy spoiler!

I've done a fair bit of work on this subject just lately. I don't really want to post anything until they are fitted and don't foul the bodywork. Once they are done, I'm quite happy to share the info.

Here's a photoshoop of what I'm aiming for...

They're copies. Anyway, the problem with BMW rims is more to do with the RFT technology, not the rim itself.
