Yeh...if there's an opportunity to meet up ...midlands based..count me in

Good news on the spoiler front (hopefully) found a plastic-welding and body-work chap who comes highly recommended and is going to have a look to see if it can be fixed rather than replaced.

Ah not too far away then, there seems to be several VXR owners in the area.

Perhaps we ought to meet up?

Vauxhall quoted just under 600quid! That was for the bumper and spoiler, painted and fitted.

Fortunately my local bodyshop say you can fit the spoiler section without touching the bumper, and that brings the whole job in at just under 400 quid...so that's lucky!!!

Guess what I'm havin' for Xmas?

    Valance damage

Managed to knock a hole the size of golf ball into the centre of the front valance today....hit a piece of debris that was blown across the motorway, and in three solid queues of traffic I had no chance or time to avoid it....

Checked with the local dealer and he said that both the valance and bumper will need replacing...to me they look like separate components...

Is he correct? Or can you just replace the lower section?

As I've clocked up less than 350 miles in it so far, you can probably guess how chuffed I am!!
Working...
