Netstar..did Vauxhall refuse to replace the leaky dampers?

My car is in AGAIN next week for the noisy suspension and i've requested they look at the dampers but apparently only the fronts will be covered.

Better than nowt i suppose but a different story to what you were given.

Anyway it will be interesting to see how your new stuff is .

Yes, its out of warranty as of today, but not when the problem surfaced.

To be fair, they are a wear and tear item and my car had covered 42k when the problem came to light. They had only just started leaking too as I've just been MOT'd today and it passed on the existing shocks, just an advisory.

If you look at page 46 of your service book, it says in plain english that they are not covered after prretty much 12 months, so you've been really lucky there mate.

However, leaking is a sign of wear and tear, noises may be down to a fault and as such covered under warranty.

              But anyways, fitting is tomorrow!!

              looking forward to it!

                well they haven't said they'll be replaced....just that they'll have a look.

are you going for lower or similar height?

Im just sat in my mates garage on the laptop.

Car is up on the ramps. Old shocks are out! They are familirising themselves with the manuals before starting the fitting of the new ones I Have taken a few pics, but I've forgotten my USB lead so I'll have to upload them laters.

                          Woot Woot!
