  • Vectra Engine

I know that the engine in the Vectra is saab engine, but can anyone tell me if it is any relation to the engine in the latest Subaru Legacy Spec B?
If you take away the sound of the exhaust the engine sound is identical to that in the Legacy we had last year.

I dont think it is a Saab engine. It is a new family of engines for GM made by Holden and called Alloytec. Has no connection with Subaru.
    Insignia VXR, quite nippy!

yea and have you seen the price of the little oil filter, the yellow'ie thing. £25.00 quit each!!!, nearly feel out my tree. The V6 60degree engine has been around along time. I think you will find it at :

It started life as pushrod and progressed to it current state. If I remember rightly there is a 3.6 litre version, which can be purchased. Now there's a thought.........................

I as really impressed with the 2.8 Turbo. I reckon its the best engine I've tried for some time.
Now, just imagine putting that in the Astra VXR... :-)
