  • Any Ideas?

Bought a couple of 501 led's for the number plate. The fitting is slightly bigger than the normal bulb, but they do fit in and work.

However, every 3 seconds the bulb flashes, when the plate light isnt on. So obviously, when the car is switched off, the light will flash, very very briefly, but constantly.

Any ideas? I posted this in general chat also, just incase someone there had any knowledge.

LED bulbs are generally a pain in the rear for this sort of thing. Have you wired a resistor on them ?

i have the same issue, unless you get the slightly more expensive piaa sidelights the normal led's (as they run on a lower current) will flash when you lock/unlock car for a few seconds

Ahh, let me try this, i can handle a flash for a few seconds after a lock/unlock.

Hm sometimes it flashes 13 times, sometimes 7, cant make up its mind. Nevermind, only cost me a few quid.
