  • Remap for VXR280HP

    Hi all!
    A own Vectra OPC 2007 (280HP) since Dec2006.
Want to get any info on ramap from 888 or VXR perfrmance for this car.
What aprox. figures for torque/power after remap?
Any chnace to remap engine only for Sport mode?
What abt cooling after remap, is standart cooling system enough?

    Thanks 4 replies.

The stage 1 remap requires no engine modifications on the 280PS

The remap usually works on the sport button but some of the newer cars are coming with software which doesn't make this possible.

The VXRPC(88/DAP Developments Remap produces around 300bhp and 350/360 Ib/ft of torque.

    No extra cooling required.

        Thanks for help.
What time it takes to upload new soft? Is it possible to do it in one day?
I read here, that some probs with ECU can happen, or its not a case for 888/DAP?

There have been some problems, I fell foul at the first hurdle with my ecu and it got sorted straight away, but the backup from each tuner will be no doubt different, please check with them first.

As for the map, if the cars original software is on file the tuner should be able to complete the remap very quickly.

If it's a new version of the software they haven't seen it may take a few hours as the new software is written for the car but once they have the new software it can be very quick.

Yes, it can be done in less than a day, if not a morning!

            Whereabouts are you based?

David at DAP remaped my veccy yesterday along with a new set of springs. 300bhp is the approx figure although he did say the full power may not be available until the ecu settles down and recalibrates. Mine works perfect through the sport switch (mine was a 255ps version) with the car remaining standard with the sport mode off. With sport on the big push doesnt seem to kick in until around 2700rpm, after that its LIFTOFF!!!!
I would recommend dave at DAP to anybody looking to have there's upgraded and as an added bonus he's a proper nice bloke!!

                        ECU Remap

Had an ECU remap on mine, huge improvement. 4th 5th and 6th gear you really notice the power surge.

300 Bhp and 450 or torque. This is what Regal Autosports claim, these are the people who did my remap.

I never had the print out so cannot confirm for sure.

superchips have done a bluefin ecu upgrade for the astra vxr
what happens is they send a small box that you plug in to your ecu
it down loads the settings in to your ecu(no need to travel to tuner)
this map can then be up-graded dependent on what future mods you do to the car eg exhaust-bigger intercooler etc etc.
then can be contacted on 00441280 816781
                          hope that helps.
