  • VXR Brake Pads

Well I have clocked up just over 40,000 on a set of original Pads, not too bad in my opinion. I have ordered some EBC's Front & Rear.
Just wondered if anyone on here has ever changed them on a Zaffy???
I am pretty confident in doing it, but the last car I did myself was MKII Escort!!!
    Any Tips???

You'll need a piston winding tool for the rear callipers to make the pistons go back in... You could probably find a way of doing it without but it'd be a pain and take twice as long!

Other than that, its very easy if you've got a reasonable collection of tools.

The rear pistons go back under pressure but being turned at the same time. Its how the handbrake auto adjusts for pad wear on discs.

Get a winding tool mate, makes it a lot easier than messing around trying to pinch the piston
