  • CG Polish?

I normally use SRP but as always like to look around at what else is available.

So i came across both of these...

Chemical Guys FP Final Polish 16oz

    &

    EXTREME ALL-IN-1 POLISH + SHINE & SEALANT

I havent got a DA (yet) so would be applying by hand. Which of the two, if either, would be a good tester?

Personally if your doing polishing by hand stick with SRP.

The reason for this is that the two polish's you have put links to really need to be used with a machine polisher to get the best from them. You wont achieve anything like what is in the before and after pictures when doing it by hand.

SRP is tried and tested and a decent beginner polish and when polishing by hand. It contains filler which lay in defects to help mask them as unless you have several days and an arm like popeye you wont gain an correction by hand polishing, just enhancing what you already have.

      Haha @ popeye.

Yea the before and after are obv machined i just wondered how good a finish you would get by hand.

      Cheers for comment

THe abrasives wont be broken down in polish designed for machine polishing. Thus unbroken abrasives will marr your paint and do more damage than good.

A good alternative to SRP is is either Clearkote moose hand glaze or AutoBalm

Both well worth a look, especially the AutoBalm.

Just to add heres an interesting post i've found on swirl removal by hand. I would guess mostly the filling properties of the products:

Just had a look at the pics etc and it seems SRP was the winning product after 5 layers!
