  • AndyGSI Detail

Well yesterday i had Andy come all the way down from Ellesmere Port to have his Arden VXR spruced up. So Andy turned up around 9am and worked pretty much flat out until 5pm. Andy gave me forewarning that the car had not been treated as it should and had not been polished in a year. Now on a whole the paintwork was okay, deffinately not the worst i have seen but it was looking a bit flat and pale with no real depth.

So the process was as follows:

1/ Wheels cleaned with Bilberry and detailing brush and rinsed
2/ Inside of the wheels cleaned using EZ wheel brush
    3/ Car and wheels snowfoamed
    4/ Rinsed
5/ Washed 2bm with Dodo Juice Born to be Mild Shampoo
    6/ Rinse
7/ Clayed with Sonus green clay and Dodo Juice Born Slippery Lube
    8/ Washed again as above
    9/ Dried
    10/ Car taped up
11/ Polished with DA polisher, Menz's 3.02 Polish and Hex Logic Pad
12/ Car washed again due to dust created from polishing
13/ Dodo Juice Lime Prime applied with DA polisher and Hex Logic Pad
14/ Waxed with Dodo Juice Blue Velvet Pro
15/ Final wipe over with Zaino Z6
16/ Wheels had a total of 2 coat's of Jetseal 109 leaving an hour to cure on each
17/ Tyres dressed with Chemical Guys New Look Trim Gel
18/ Windows cleaned with Meg's glass cleaner
    19/ Door shuts wiped down

Due to wanting to crack on with it i forgot to take and before pictures so here are the final results. Some pictures are in the garage to show the depth of the reflection as the light outside was not in out favour:

    Thanks for looking

As said in the initial post worked from 9am to 5pm, so 8 hrs althogether

No this was not a full correction as that would not be possible in the time i had. This was an ehancement detail although amanged to get rid of some specific scratching on the wing

Thanks for your time and efforts yesterday Jay.

The car has never looked so good, not even from the dealers forecourt 2 years ago. It was a shame to get it mucky driving home.

Hope the hangover was not to bad this morning!
