  • Watermarks/rainspots on windscreen/windows

    Ahhh!!

I have tried everything to get rid of them, mainly on the windscreen.

Newspaper/ mf cloths and glass cleaners.

What actually works and is there a special way you have to clean them? I just cant get them out and the car is only 5 months old its like there inside the glass

    Thanks really need help lol

If there on the inside mate just a good glass cleaner should do the trick.

A good windsceen cleaner should remove them mate, wot i tend to do when i have washed the car is dry the car with a towel to remove the water marks as i also live in a hard water area, this means the water doesnt dry on the windcreen so that the marks doesnt appear on the windscreen.

Maybe a stronger window cleaner is needed, I know when cold the windscreen tends to leave marks, like its stained but when warm is fine. Does the windscreen condensate inside on cold mornings???

We live in a hard water area and used to get the same problem. When i had my car detailed the guy brought his own water with him which had a filter fitted to the tank. I have a water filter tap on the kitchen sink and now when i wash my car i do the usual method but then rinse off with a watering can using the water from the filter tap and i no longer get the marks on my car.
The tap can be brought from wickes for about £37.00 including filters and it just taps into the main water supply (dead easy to do) and it costs around £22.00 the following years for the filters which you replace every 6 months or so.
