  • Advice needed

    Hi all,

With reagrds to polishing cars after cleaning i think that i have been getting the prcess abit wrong. The below is what i have currently been doing (by hand):

Wash car - two bucket method with sheep skin mitt
    Clay car
Wash car again using above method
Apply wax, such as Petes 53
Apply wet look wax, such as Chemical Guys
    Apply glaze
    Apply sealent - jetseal 109

Is the above the correct order or should i be applying the jet seal first?

I know thyere are better products out there which people will recommend but im happy with the above. The finish that im after is a wet look / mirror finish.

    Thanks

    Jay

Wax is always last!! Wax breaks down first, so if you seal a wax with Jetseal it's got nowhere to evaporate to so it will all go cloudy and you'll lose your shine.

Don't know what the difference between a glaze and a sealant is though..

To get a mirow finish I guess you would probably have to use an actual polish (ie. a product that removes layers to get it back to perfect) with a machine.

You do the sealant first, before anything else

Then you wax over the top of it. I dont see the need for 2 different types of wax tbh.

Just choose a suitable wax, then if you want some shine, sptriz some Zaino Z8 over the top for ultimate gloss.
