soft wax vs hard wax

Hard wax's are 'supposed' to be more durable than the soft wax's but as marc has said you proably wouldnt notice any difference

The only difference i can spot is the hard wax is harder to put on and it goes on thinner and the soft wax is softer and easier to spread...
