OMG there looked like some really lucky people there.
I feel quite sick looking at that.

What stupid marshalls!!!!!!!!!The instructions at training sessions ALWAYS TELL YOU TO RUN THE DIRECTION FROM WHICH THE CAR CAME FROM.That marshall nearest the barrier should by rights be DEAD.If the catch fencing was fitted around the Grand Prix loop, then this wouldn't have happened. When I last marshalled at BRANDS HATCH,the oak posts holding the barrier up were rotten at the bottom.

Motorsport can be dangerous is ALWAYS printed as a warning on the reverse of your entry ticket.

The Marshalls, thankfully, were very lucky. As Tjay said, incidents like this highlight the need for catch fencing to stop this sort of thing happening.

A similar sort of thing happened earlier in the year, think it was in Oz, where a car flipped into the crowd.
