  • Can anyone (electrician?) fix a dryer?

Anyone got any clues about this please?...

When plugging the (condenser) tumble dryer into (any) socket it comes on fine, ie the display lights up, however, as soon as you hit 'start' it trips all the electrics in the house and shuts off.

Have tried it in different sockets and with a different fuse but still does the same thing. The plug is a sealed unit so can't even see the wires in it.

Any ideas? Really could do without having to buy another dryer but don't know if it's worth getting anyone in (electrician?) to fix it for the price it could be.

The wife had this with "her dryer" and we found out that it was when we switched on the timer that's when it tripped the fuse box. New dryer now and no probs.
