speed camera question

Quick one for you more knowledable folk.

do the dvla tax cameras do speed aswell as i went past one on a dual carriageway in a 40 at ** mph on a open road not racing before anyone gets the flamer out

If they are green/blue they are Highways/Traffic master and just read partial numbers plates just to monitor traffic flow, no enforcement capability.

Rob , might be best to remove the actual speed you did from public forum

discribe the cameras best you can as in colour and size ,

ps,,,,if theres white lines across the road it`s a defo speed ticket

both is possible but normally if going going towards the rear of the van as thats where the camera will probably be , as in your approaching the rear on the van

yeh maybe mate had dudes looking at a laptop or something in the boot/back as it was open

sounds like anpr check rather than speeding for tax ins ect , could be wrong mind but i`m sure thos in the know will be along soon to help out ,

Think you will be fine mate, there is one of them dvla vans checking tax etc outside my work nearly every week.
