I went last year and looking to go again soon. Go see grand canyon and colorado river! Was awesome! Althoug the colorado river is by far the coldest thing ive swam in! Ha. As for hotels, there are a few deals on at the min but i found it cheaper to book flights theough XL and stopped off at philadelphia the cheapest and book hotels seperate. Think i paid around £500 return! £650 for 8nights inc hotel! Expect to pay the prices on booze at the posh hotels. I stayed in circus circus which was the cheapest but thought it was perfect! Loved the hotel and would definately stay there again! Had a night out in it a few times! Get yourself downtown to eat too. I got lobster and 10oz steak for $10!!! Was the best meal i ate whilst i was there! Wating on the strip we got charged a $40 service charge and the food was crap and the waiters didnt keep our drinks filled like downtown.
Cant think of anything else apart from enjoy. And if you stop at philadelphia for an hour or so, get a philly cheese steak! They are epic!!

I just been this year stayed in the Paris. Next time I would go to Caesars palace or Venetian. We went with virgin and I paid to go premium economy and sat in the bubble next to the cabin.
Watch the show the le rev at the whinn its brilliant mate best show in town.
Breakfast at the treasure island buffet is brill too.
You won't sleep as they pump in Oxygen into all the casinos and hotels.
Premium north outlet is great all designer gear cheap.
Old town Fremantle street in the evening is mental must see.
Try pick a hotel in the middle of the strip too.
Just back from Vegas less than three weeks ago and it is something else. Age and who your going with will depend on what you want/should do.
I was there for 7 nights (not enough for me) and booked it about 6 weeks before going on a bit of a whim, best decision ever. £1200 (almost the same price as your looking at) for flights from Aberdeen - Heathrow, Heathrow - Vegas with BA and we stayed in the Aria hotel and casino, one of the newest and modern looking hotels there I'd say. Where ever you book though ask for an upgrade at check in and if they come up with one a tip never goes a miss. We did and ended up with a city view room which you never got tired of looking out of. The Aria is fairly central as well but the Mirage would be a decent choice as well. They have a good club in there called One Oak. Could tell you loads more as much as it's depressing me, I still have the Vegas blues, especially since a guy I work with is going out there for 9 nights for a stagger and I'm ridiculously jealous. Thinking about going back next year again for sure.
